Car rental

Pick up and return your rental car

At both airports, the major rental companies (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt, Maggiore and others) are grouped in a shared Autonoleggi area — a short walk from arrivals.

Bari (BRI)

The car rental area is about 200 m from arrivals — follow the signs for Autonoleggi / Rent a Car.

Brindisi (BDS)

The rental desks are inside the terminal building, and cars are collected in the parking area opposite departures.

Public transport

From Bari Airport to the city

There are three easy options into central Bari. The journey takes between 15 and 30 minutes depending on what you choose.

Train — Ferrotramviaria

15 min5 €

Direct train from Bari Aeroporto station to Bari Centrale. Departures are roughly every 30 minutes; this is usually the fastest and easiest option.

Bus — Tempesta Line 16

30 min4 €

The airport bus runs directly from the terminal to Bari Centrale via the city centre. Departures are usually around every half hour.

Buying tickets

Tickets can be bought from machines at the station, in a tabacchi shop or directly in the app. Validate paper tickets before boarding.

Tip: Bari Aeroporto station is a short, signposted walk from the terminal. Buy your ticket in the Trenitaliaor FNB app before you land to avoid queues.
